Just wrapped up some maintenance on my Corolla’s 1.8 engine, but before I bolt everything back together, I realized I don’t have the torque specs! I’ve been looking everywhere online, but I’m seeing conflicting info and don’t want to risk over-tightening or, worse, having things come loose down the road. I’m mostly dealing with the cylinder head, spark plugs, and a few of the more sensitive parts, so having the right torque specs is pretty crucial here.
Has anyone done this before and can share the exact numbers? I’m working on a 2015 model, but I think the 1.8L is pretty consistent across a few years, right? Do the specs change depending on what kind of bolts I’m using, or is there a universal set of specs I can rely on?
I’m really hoping to avoid a disaster where I either break a bolt or mess up the engine because I didn’t tighten something correctly. If anyone’s got a shop manual or personal experience with this, I’d really appreciate the help!
