Threaded Mode
#1
Who knew picking a headlight bulb could be so confusing? If you’re trying to figure out the right size for your 2018 Corolla, you’re not alone. The options can be overwhelming. I went through this recently, and it turns out there’s more than one size that fits, depending on how bright you want them. Let’s light up the road with some solid advice!

Yeah, choosing the right headlight bulb for your 2018 Corolla can definitely feel like a maze. I’ve been there too, and it took me a bit to figure it all out. For your 2018 Corolla, the standard low beam headlight bulb size is H11, and for the high beam, it’s 9005.

But here's the thing—if you’re looking to upgrade to something brighter, like LED or HID bulbs, you’ll want to make sure they fit properly in those sizes and don’t require extra modifications. I went with an LED kit that was a bit brighter, and it was a game-changer, especially for night driving. Just double-check that whatever you pick is road legal and won’t blind oncoming traffic.

So, yeah, don’t stress too much. Stick with H11 for low beams and 9005 for high beams, and you’ll be good to go.

Haha, oh man, I feel your pain! I remember when I had to change the bulbs on my 2018 Corolla—thought it would be a quick job, but it turned into a whole afternoon project. v8 is spot on with the sizes: H11 for low beams, 9005 for high beams. But here’s a tip I learned the hard way—if you’re thinking of switching to LEDs, make sure to check the bulb housing. Some LED kits can be bulky, and if you're unlucky like me, you might need to fiddle around with it or even get an adapter.
Also, pro tip: If you do go the LED route, consider getting ones with a good cooling system (some come with tiny fans). I didn’t, and one of my bulbs overheated on a long night drive, which led to a fun roadside adventure. 😅 Just make sure they're aligned right—nobody likes being that guy blinding everyone on the road. Happy swapping!
