Title: Yokohama vs Goodyear: Which tire brand is better for a Toyota Corolla?
Threaded Mode
#1
I’m in the market for new tires for my 2017 Toyota Corolla, and I’ve narrowed it down to two big brands—Yokohama and Goodyear. Both seem to have solid reputations, but I’m torn between specific models. For Yokohama, I’ve been eyeing the Yokohama Avid Ascend GT and the Yokohama Geolandar, which seem to have a good balance of comfort and durability. On the Goodyear side, I’m considering the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady and Goodyear Eagle Sport tires.

I do a lot of mixed driving—city streets during the week and highway trips on the weekends. I’m looking for something that’s going to give me solid traction in both dry and wet conditions, with a decent tread life. I live in an area that gets occasional rain, so wet performance is pretty important to me, but I don’t need anything too extreme like for snow or ice.

Has anyone run either of these brands on their Corolla? How did they hold up for you in terms of ride comfort, noise, and wear? I’d love to hear some feedback before I pull the trigger. I just wanna make sure I’m getting the best bang for my buck without sacrificing safety or performance!
