Hey everyone, I’ve got a 2012 Toyota Corolla, and recently my check engine light came on. I ran the code, and it points to an issue with the catalytic converter. I’ve heard it could just be the O2 sensors causing false alarms, but I’m not sure where to start. Should I try cleaning or replacing the O2 sensors first, or is it likely that the catalytic converter itself is failing? Has anyone else had this problem with their Corolla? If so, what steps did you take to fix it, and did you end up needing a new converter? I’m trying to avoid spending a fortune at the mechanic, so any advice or tips would be awesome!
