Title: Toyota Corolla rack and pinion bushing replacement tips
Threaded Mode
#1
Hey everyone, I’ve noticed that the steering in my Toyota Corolla (2013 model) feels a bit loose lately, and I’m also hearing some clunking noises when I turn the wheel. After doing some research, I think the issue might be with the rack and pinion bushings. I’m considering trying to replace them myself, but I’ve never tackled this kind of repair before. Has anyone here replaced their rack and pinion bushings on their Corolla? What tools do I need, and are there any tips to make the process smoother? I’ve heard it’s important to support the rack properly, but I’m not exactly sure how to do that. Any advice from those who’ve done this DIY repair would be awesome – especially if there are any ‘gotchas’ I should watch out for!
